This is the word that
came to Jeremiah from the Lord: "Go
down to the Potter's house, and there I will give
you my message." After reading
this passage from Jeremiah during my morning
devotions was a major turning point in my life.
And after much prayer I
decided to become a full time Potter and let the Lord
guide and direct my business. This journey has taught me
many things, about God's grace, his mercy, and how He
desires to be a part of our lives and is willing to
reveal his will to us. A compassionate, gracious
Shepherd that longs to tenderly care for his flock, how
he rescues us, searches for the lost and strays, how he
binds up the injured and strengthens the weak. He is the
good shepherd. He knows his sheep and they know Him. He
alone can give eternal life. I've tasted true joy and
saw just how bright the colors can be when I walk with
Him, and how lonely, cold and empty life can be if I
stray from his side. I've learned that true joy is
lasting because it is based on God's presence within us.
He is the author of life and His radiance will never
fade. He offers to us an inheritance that can never
perish, spoil or fade, the gift of eternal life. I've
decided to praise God with all my heart and tell of his
many wonders. In appreciation to an awesome and
sovereign God I inscribe scripture verses on the bottoms
of all my pots.
